Padilla Bay Foundation Early Fall 2025 Newsletter

2025 “Brunch at the Bay” on Sunday August 10 was a beautiful day and a big success! You and sponsors all helped meet the goal of contributing $17,000 for the Reserve to be able to temporarily fill the Stewardship position that was lost due to Americorp Program cancellation. A hearty Thank You from the Foundation and Reserve.

Enjoying a nice day, good foods, music, fine friends, and the congenial atmosphere.

Here is the Community Art everyone help create during the Brunch. The much larger piece that was auctioned as part of the Brunch program earned over $2,000 to help fund the 2025 Youth Environmental Summit coming up later this year.

Here a recent school group from a Port Townsend one day-long Science effort. Many groups here this fall.

For many years there has been a summer-long “Letterbox Trail” olong the Upland Trail at the Reserve. Participants have a clue sheet, find the boxes, and stamp their sheets. Finished ones are STUFFED in the box by end on Sept 7! Now for drawing and prizes.

Many nice books, field guides and charts are in the Merchandise shop along with much popular garb for all ages. A fully stocked cupboard for the coming Seasons will be ready by mid-October. Plan a visit to the Reserve and do some Holiday gift shopping. All proceeds go to support activities and programs of the Reserve.

Enjoy the Fall and thanks to All, again, for your ongoing support. Most heartwarming to see your responses to needs for the Reserve.
